Sometimes we need to be kicked hard in life. We need the daylights knocked out of us. We need to be hit where it hurts the most. And the point is many of us go through this kicking routine,until we are so battered and bruised that we can’t fall any further. Only rise back up.Patience

Recently I came across a very graphic video of an elephant giving birth. It scared the hell out of me not because of the gory delivery and all the pool of blood that followed (Sorry if you were eating). These graphic scenes were overshadowed by something so menacing that I couldn’t bear to watch. Quran, (17:1).. “Glorious is He Who made his servant travel by night from Al-Masjid-ul-Haram to Al-Masjid-ul-Aqsa of which environs We have blessed, so that We let him see some of Our signs. Surely, He is the All-Hearing, the All- Seeing.”

We are forced to contemplate, as we are left only with the shadows of these days as they race by, leaving us at a complete loss.

A sense of excitement and anticipation rises, while we find ourselves heading for the month of mercy. The month of the Qur’an. The month for spirituality. The month for us.

But before the blessed month dawns upon us, it is a true gift, that we are bestowed with two more beautiful months in our midst.

Words Are a Perfect Camera

Asalamu alaikum

I pray that everyone who finds this is in the best of health and imaan. So I am back after a hiatus of sorts. I knew I would be irregular (Damn me :P) When I started blogging it was really for the opportunity to reflect on my own words. To be a witness to the person I was when I tried putting words to those feelings or to witness the contrast in the times that passed me by. This is the reason I love writing.Image

After I converted, I fell in love with life. Even though there have been ups and downs and ups which were magnified than before, I have just come to love this roller coaster of life and I want to record every bit of it. the good, the bad, the ugly, the boring, the crazy. But don’t worry you won’t have to bear every bit with me. I’ll share just the amazing parts inshaAllah 🙂
